Job Title:
Structural Engineering Technician

Brief Description:
DCE IRL, an expanding Dundalk consultancy, located halfway between Dublin and Belfast, requires a Structural Engineering Technician. The successful candidate will be a member of a team of engineers and technicians designing commercial, retail, leisure and residential projects in timber frame, structural steel and reinforced concrete.
The position, which offers significant career advancement, is ideal for an engineer who is motivated and committed and will be salaried accordingly.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Carrying out site visits (depending on experience) ensuring design implemented correctly on site
- Preparing site visit reports
- Liaising with contractors / answering contractor queries
- Preparation of drawings using AutoCAD software
Requirements:
Candidates should hold a Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or other relevant 3rd Level Qualification, preferably with 1-5 years post graduate experience. A good working knowledge of AutoCAD & Microsoft Office is essential.
Applicants must be fluent in English, have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
As site visits form part of the role, applicants are required to hold a full driving licence and have their own car / access to a car.
